warning. caution. beware.

for some reason i felt it necessary to read the warning tag on my flat iron this morning. it consisted of the fairly standard "keep away from water—you will get electrocuted and die" cautionary notes. until i got to the bottom of the list...

"keep away from tinder."

nerds! i guess that means i have to move my tinder, kindling and firewood out of my powder room. apparently it's dangerous to stockpile my fire starting supplies next to my hairdryer, curling iron and hot rollers. who knew?! but seriously, isn't it common sense to keep flammable materials away from heated hair appliances?

bear grylls says, "keep your tinder away from your 400 degree flat iron."

dessert and a movie at cinetopia. pre-show entertainment = a super talented new age acoustic violinist who looked like jesus. post-show entertainment = the couple sitting next to us who downed a bottle of wine and a pitcher of beer like champs. my favorite part of my cinetopia experience = ryan reynolds and the chocolate dessert we were served. yum.

i was recently introduced to jinja safari and can't stop listening to their music. sort of a cross between sigur ros and bon iver. perhaps with a sprinkle of sufjan stevens and edward sharpe and the magnetic zeros.

obsession with my immersion blender + loads o' fresh basil = homemade pesto.
