number 13.

ride the ferry to bainbridge island. check.

it's baaaaaack. the seattle list of fabulous fun was resurrected this past weekend. i never got through the list before i graduated and ended up filing it away in my wallet for the last six months. well, when i decided i was going to head up to seattle for new year's eve, i knew i had to break out the list again. it was a little crinkled. a little crumpled. but mostly still in one piece.

my weekend in seattle was going to be the perfect opportunity to cross off a few items. or so i thought. it turns out basically every tourist-y attraction in seattle was closed for the new year holiday. even pike place market. meh. luckily, the ferry runs 365 days a year. thank you, wsdot.

the ride to and from bainbridge island was a blast. the weather was absolute fabulous. sunshine and blue skies and a refreshing breeze. the perfect way to start out the year 2012.

{waiting to depart seattle.}

{titanic?}

{tarah and mini seattle.}

{sufficiently windblown.}

{mt. rainier.}

{bainbridge island. also, where dr. mcdreamy lives. or at least where
i envision him living. yes, i made a grey's anatomy reference.}

{such a lovely view.}

{elliot bay sunset.}

to die for neapolitan pizza...check. this place is my absolute favorite seattle pizzeria. thin crust, simple ingredients. don't even get me started on their mezza luna di nutella. aka nutella calzone with lots of powdered sugar on top. doughy chocolatey goodness.

{pomodoro, smoked mozzarella, cherry tomato, ricotta, mozzarella di bufala, grana, basil}

{via tribunali busty lady pizza box}

eat an ice cream cone at cal anderson park & molly' moons.

molly moon's ice cream was the perfect treat for a sunshine-y afternoon. it seems all of seattle was out and about yesterday, enjoying the warm-ish weather. so lovely. unfortunately, the rain and grey is back today. but my slight sunburn serves as a reminder that summer is a-coming.

countdown to graduation: 21 days.

{salted caramel & theo chocolate. and yes, my waffle cone is in a bowl. i am a hopeless mess when it comes to ice cream. it inevitably ends up spilled down the front of me,}

{tarah, on the other hand, appears to be an expert at ice cream cones. go tarah!}

i went to exactly one basketball game this year, back in january. {this post is long overdue.} i obviously have a lot of school spirit. actually, i'm just not a huge fan of basketball. i'm much more a football type of girl...go ducks!

{blurry blurry snapshot, but nonetheless proof i was there}

this was the first time i had been to the aquarium here in seattle. it wasn't as big as i expected it to be, but my friends and i still had a fun time looking at all the sea creatures. our favorite exhibit, by far, was the sea otters. too cute!

{melissa & i posing with an orca fin.}

{sea otter. awwwwww}

seattle list of fabulous fun.

today marks the beginning of week eight of winter quarter. which means that it's only a matter of weeks until finals and spring break! with that being said, i have recently come to the realization that my days here in seattle are numbered. 111 days until graduation. eek! where has the time gone?!

while living in seattle for the past three-ish years, i have explored many of the nooks & crannies of this wonderful city. from the ultra-touristy, pike place market, to the hidden gems of capitol hill, via tribunali. regardless, there are still countless restaurants, museums, parks, tourist attractions, and coffee shops that i would love to experience before i move back to portland.

which brings me to the super-secret spring project i first mentioned here, which incidentally is not really a secret at all. :) last week i drafted a list of everything i want to do in seattle {either again, or for the first time,} before i graduate from university. my goal is to cross off all 38 {and counting} items before i pack up shop and head back to portland on june 13th. i plan on chronicling my adventures on this here blog, so keep checking in to see if i accomplish my goal!
