viva las vegas.

the day after my 21st birthday and college graduation i traveled to las vegas, nevada with two of my best friends. i definitely remember discussing this very trip back when we were all in high school. so fun that our long-term "plans" became a reality!

vegas was a complete blast. sunshine & poolside relaxation, late-night girl talk, shopping, fun dinners, dancing & drinks. it was so nice to get away from school. and put off the job search for at least a week. :) this vacation was the absolutely perfect way to celebrate the start of the summer. at the end of the week we all had a difficult time leaving the 105 degree, blue sky desert to return to not-so-sunny oregon. {however, there has been talk of going back to vegas next year. or sooner!}

why hello there, summer.

today it was quite toasty outside. sun shining. mostly blue sky. yay! it finally feels like june.

i do miss this, though:

back to reality.

i am an official college graduate. i am finally 21, a "real adult." and...i am unemployed. for the time being. time to seriously start looking for a job!

my trip to las vegas was a total whirlwind and just what i needed. {i'll post more about it later.} sunshine. good food and drinks. great friends. music and dancing. time seemed to stand still while i was gone. for some reason i woke up this morning thinking last week was just a dream. so strange!

waiting for my real life to begin.

all done. no more college, save for graduation this sunday. no more classes. no more textbooks. or papers. or exams. adios group projects. those i will not miss. packing up three years of my life is bittersweet. i feel ready to move on, but still sad to leave behind my city. my home. my friends.

tomorrow i take the train to oregon one last time, for my little sis' high school graduation. which i'm still trying to wrap my head around. so crazy she's all grown up! then back to seattle for my own graduation. {on my 21st birthday.} after which i will promptly return to oregon for good. well, actually for less than 24 hours, as i leave for las vegas the following day. i fully expect the next week and a half to be pure madness. but good madness. lots of exciting things and big changes are heading in my direction. my future is wide open.

**i'm taking a one week break from blogging, social media, my laptop... starting tonight, tomorrow, saturday? i'm not exactly sure yet. all i know, is that i need to detox from technology for a short while.
